Construction of a Parish Wide Water and Waste System
I read that and re-read it again, and I still can't figure out that statement. For over a
year, maybe even over two years, I have
observed pipe being laid for Ascension Water Co. In fact, I even granted them right of way
to cross my property. The paper that I
signed said "Ascension Water Co.". These people are continuing to run this same
line on Bayou Narcisse Road, headed towards
Gonzales.
How long is it until people will be FILING to RUN for OFFICES in Ascension Parish - maybe
six months? Will this
become part of the campaign RHETORIC?
It seems as if the Council Thursday night made the EXOTIC DANCER'S CLUB part of their
campaign.
The Council's Legal Advisor warned members they could be infringing on the Constitutional
Rights of the proposed club
owner. "Trying to block this could propose significant Constitutional problems,"
said Jesse LeBlanc.
Now, Mr. LeBlanc, Mr. Pierre, and his group thinks their Constitutional Rights are being
imposed upon. They have a couple
of things in their favor. They are organized and have had some success with some chemical
plants. And, they have INPUT at the
POLL this year when we vote for NEW PARISH WIDE OFFICES.
Listen to this sentence from the article: "THE CLUB IS BEING PROPOSED TO BE BUILT ON
5 ACRES ON LA. 30
NEAR GEISMER".
WOW. Please read that over again. How large will this Exotic Dancers' Club be?
Undoubtedly, it has to be a very large,
large building, and will need an awful lot of parking space to need 5 acres of land. Does
this question come to your mind? What is
the shape of the land. Is it square or rectangular? Are there more different types of
businesses planned for the 5 acres?
What is the acreage of the property upon which the Gonzales Courthouse Annex sits? How
much larger than 5 acres is it?
Someone has an idea that BIG Exotic Dancing will become very, very popular in East
Ascension Parish. Someone is spending a lot
of money there.
